Celebration is an upscale master-planned community dreamed up that started to be built by Walt Disney in 1996. The town has a unique New England flavor, this small, extremely well-manicured town boundry is less than 4 miles from Walt Disney World® Resort and comes complete with parks, many community pools, a golf course, Grade A schools and many playgrounds and parks throughout. Within a 5-minute walk of most residents, its downtown's Town Center is home to delightful mom-and-pop shops and restaurants. The post card palm-tree lined Celebration Boulevard features a Grand Hotel on a pretty lake. The downtown has Art Deco-style buildings, many designed by famous architects, including a post office designed by Michael Graves.
In keeping with its family-oriented atmosphere, Celebration goes all out when it comes to celebrating annual events, which include car shows throughout the year, late April's Great American Pie Festival and Art & Wine Stroll, A Sci-Fi 4th of July, Oktoberfest in mid-October, the World Food Championships in early November and, from late November though late December, Now Snowing is a Christmas tradition where simulated snow drifts from the sky on the town of Celebration even when it’s 72 F.
People who live in Celebration are living the Disney Dream.
